The formatting option allows you to quickly change the size of your text, as well as the boldness and font color by selecting between the five different Header options. You can also enter HTML code in formatting options, and make a pull quote out of a section of your text. If you want your text to return to the default setting, select Normal.
Bold (CTRL + B)
To use the Bold feature, select the text you want to make bold, and click the Bold icon. If the text was already bolded, it will go back to normal.
If you do not have text selected, the next text you enter will be bold until you click the button again.
Italic (CTRL + I)
To use the Italic feature, select the text you want to make italic, and click the Italic icon. If the text was already in italics, it will go back to normal.
If you do not have text selected, the next text you enter will be italic until you click the button again.
Strikethrough
Strikethrough will put a line through the center of selected text to give the appearance that it is incorrect or has been deleted. To use the Strikethrough feature, select the text you want to strike through, and click the Strikethrough icon. If Strikethrough was already applied to the text, it will go back to normal.
If you do not have text selected, the next text you enter will be struck through until you click the button again.
Unordered List
By selecting Unordered List, you can easily make a bulleted list. To pull a sentence out into a bullet point, simply click the Unordered List option with your text cursor in front of or behind the sentence you want to make a bulleted point. Hit Enter on your keyboard to make each new bulleted point in your list. Deselect Unordered List to return your text to the default setting.
Ordered List
By selecting Ordered List, you can easily make a numbered list. To pull a sentence out into a numbered point, simply click the Ordered List option with your text cursor in front of or behind the sentence you want to make a numbered point. Hit Enter on your keyboard to make each new numbered point in your list, in sequential order. Deselect Ordered List to return your text to the default setting.
Outdent
Outdent is used to return a line of text that you have indented back to its position before the indention. It can be clicked multiple times, depending on how many indentions you have placed in your line of text.
Indent
The Indent option allows you to place an indention into a line of text, in the same way that the Tab key does this on your keyboard. You can press Indent multiple times to place more indentions into your line of text.
Insert Image
To insert an image from your computer directly into the text block, click the Insert Image button. You can either add an image from your computer, or you can select an image that has been previously uploaded by you. After you’ve selected your image, it will be placed in the text box wherever your text cursor was located. You can also click on the image to Edit it. You can link the image to a URL, and change the Alignment of the image in the text box from here.
Table
If you need to add a table to your text block, click the Table button, and then select Insert Table. You can then enter the number of columns and rows you want for your table, and select Insert.
If you want to add more rows and columns to your table, simply click inside the table, and then click the Table Button again. Then, select Add Row Above, Add Row Below, Add Column Left, Add Column Right, or Add Head. You can also delete extra rows and columns by selecting Delete Head, Delete Column, Delete Row, or Delete Table.
Link
To create a link, you must have a URL or web address copied to your computer’s clipboard or have it memorized before adding the link. Select the text you want to link and click the Link button. After clicking the link button, click Insert Link and then enter your link URL into the box provided. Check whether you want the link to open in a new tab, and then click Insert.
Alignment
To change the alignment of your text in your text block, click the Alignment Button, and then select whether you want to align the text left, right, center, or justify the text, which will make the text align evenly on both margins.
Insert Horizontal Rule
Click this button to add a solid horizontal line all the way across your text block. It will be inserted where your cursor is placed.
Change Font Family
If you want to change the style of font you use in the Text Block, select Change Font Family, and then pick a font from the list of pre-downloaded fonts. Each font in the list shows you a preview of what the font will look like when it’s selected.
Font Color
You can change the color of your text by selecting the Font Color button, and then picking a color from the preset choices available. You can also choose None if you would like to reset the text color back to the default black color. If you want to change only selected words, highlight your selection using your text cursor and then select your color from Font Colors.
Back Color
If you’d like to highlight your text with a certain color, select the Back Color button, and then select the Back Color you’d like to use. You can also choose None if you would like to remove your Back Color. If you want to change only selected words, highlight your selection using your text cursor and then select your color from Back Colors.
Change Font Size
You can change the size of your font by selecting Change Font Size, and then picking the size of your font from the list of sizes. These sizes range from 10px to 72px. If you want to reset your font size back to the default setting, select Remove Font Size, the last option in the list.
