Work Smarter Not Harder: Marketing Tools You Need

As a business owner, you probably have many tools that make your job easier. They may even be essential to get the job done! With digital marketing, it’s no different. Marketing your business online can be a daunting task, but with the right tools, you could take the stress out of marketing your business while optimizing your marketing strategies.

Analytics

We’ve talked about analytics in the past, and if you need to catch up on that you can do it here! Analytics platforms are basically the gateway into marketing tools. You can have all kinds of tools and plans, but if you don’t know how to cater your content to your audience you’ll be doing all of that hard work for nothing. Keep up to date on your website statistics, customer demographics, and more with tools like Google Analytics, Semrush, or HubSpot. There are so many other platforms out there you can use, but these are three of the most popular with a wide range of insights and features. Every platform has its pros and cons. Remember that marketing tools are not one size fits all, so don’t worry if one of these doesn’t work for you!

Social Media

Social media is a very important part of digital marketing, but there are dozens of platforms out there. The digital marketing space has made it significantly easier to post content across different platforms simultaneously, and create it in a way that will work for all of them. Try tools like Hootsuite for post-scheduling and Canva for content creation! Hootsuite is a social media management platform with a dashboard-like interface that allows you to post on multiple social media accounts at one time. You can adjust your content for each platform for a more individualized approach, but it’s also great for mass posting if that is something you need. You can also post updates, read direct messages, view statistics, and more. So it’s a great tool for someone who might get overwhelmed by social media.

Canva is perfect for anyone who doesn’t have photoshop experience. The platform is pretty straightforward—very point-and-click. There are limits to this platform, but it’s a great tool for creatives and not-so-creatives alike. There’s a wide range of templates for you to customize with your own branding, and a variety of graphics, photos, text styles, and more to get the exact style you’re looking for. Even if you want to start on a blank canvas, Canva can be incredibly useful when creating your content.

Some other useful social media tools include:

  • Tailwind
  • Feedly
  • Visme
  • Bitly
  • Buffer

Email Marketing Tools

Email marketing allows you to easily stay in touch with your customers. Sometimes, a simple reminder that you exist is a great incentive for customers to revisit your business. You can also use email marketing to send promotions or updates about any new products or services. If you’ve never ventured into email marketing before, a good place to start is Mailchimp. From simple to advanced email marketing, Mailchimp is easy to use and has some great templates to choose from when building your emails. It is a little limited in automation features, but if you’re just getting started in email marketing you shouldn’t run into many issues.

Constant Contact is another platform that is wonderful if you’ve been doing email marketing for a while. It also offers an array of templates with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop feature. You can also take advantage of a customized analytics dashboard where you can hide certain insights you don’t want to view at that time. This feature makes it really easy to view your most important data and share it amongst your business as needed. One major outlier between the two platforms is that Mailchimp no longer integrates with Shopify. So if you’re looking to integrate your email marketing with your website or other platforms, Constant Contact may be best for you.

No matter what tools you use, taking advantage of them helps you take your marketing to the next level. You don’t have to be an expert in digital marketing to use these tools, so get started today! There’s no time like the present. But if you still need help let us know! We’ve got plenty of services designed to help you succeed.
